From the wiki:
We currently do not have support for organism or block modding, but it's coming!
I'd say we'll be able to texture blocks when we have block modding.
@Yurameki Minecraft has no official modding API - the most you can do is edit launcher JSON files and have Minecraft load an extra class when it loads up, which is how Forge actually works.
Yeah, the modding API looks usable and it's nice that the devs themselves are using it, but I'm disappointed that it requires Unity. I hope it won't require Unity experience to work with.
Should also point out that a command-line interface is essential for Linux machines. I note that the server doesn't officially support Linux (and indeed it doesn't work there) yet, but almost all Linux servers are running without a GUI. It's an unnecessary overhead in a production environment.
- Make a starting 'flat roof' block for the first building.
- The holes present in the log blocks creates many opportunities to get stuck and fall
I feel like the whole insecure log roof thing is intentional - The builders' hut doesn't need to be secure, plus you can't craft anything without creating that building in the first place, so.. Where would you get roof blocks from?
